Farmer commits suicide in Bhadrak village
Bhadrak: A farmer committed suicide allegedly by hanging himself from a tree at Pandado village under Agarapada police limits in Bhadrak district yesterday.
The deceased, identified as Gayadhar Das (42), was a sharecropper. Gayadhar’s family members have claimed that he took the extreme step over loan burden.
Family members also claimed that he was debt-ridden was under extreme pressure after suffering heavy loss. When asked, the one of deceased’s kin said that Gayadhar was unable to repay the loan amount taken for agriculture purpose following which he ended his life, sources informed.
On intimation, police reached the village and seized the body for post-mortem. A probe has been launched into the incident, sources said.
