Koraput: Police have seized counterfeit currency notes of over Rs 7.90 crore face value from near Sunki outpost here and arrested three persons in connection with the case.
According to reports, the arrest was made by Pottangi police on Tuesday.
Further giving details, a senior official said the arrested were en route to Chhattisgarh when police, following a tip-off, intercepted them and conducted a search. During the search, police seized the fake notes.
While an investigation is underway into the matter, the arrested persons have been identified as residents of Raipur area. However, a detailed report regarding the incident is awaited.
