Mumbai: Caretaker Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that he will be the CM of the state for another term of five years.
His statement comes in the wake of the Shiv Sena pushing for a 50:50 power-sharing deal in Maharashtra.
Fadnavis said: Our party president has confirmed nothing has been decided on CM post to Shiv Sena. No formula is decided yet.
He told reporters at his official residence ‘Varsha’ here that the Shiv Sena was not promised CM’s post for two-and-a-half years when the alliance was formalised before the Lok Sabha polls. “I will be the Chief Minister for another five years, ”Fadnavis asserted.
Fadnavis assured that the next government in Maharashtra will be led by the BJP. “I assure that this will be a BJP-led government. BJP will be leading a stable and efficient government of Mahayuti (alliance) for five years,” he added.
