San Francisco: Facebook Chairman Mark Zuckerberg has denied that he is planning for retirement. The investors had been pressing Zuckerberg for relinquishing the post in the midst of intense scrutiny on data scandals.
In an interview he clarified that it was not the opportune time to quit. The company’s shares have dwindled to forty per cent down in the recent months, he added.
Zuckerberg said he does not run the company, but is responsible for its development. Media reports suggested that Facebook had the knowledge about Russian influence activities on its platform as early as spring 2016.
Zuckerberg said there is no doubt that the company missed important things when it came to the Russian interference during the 2016 US election.
