New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to the State of Qatar on Sunday, informed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in a press release.
During the visit, minister Jaishankar will meet the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
“India and Qatar share historic and friendly relations which are marked by regular exchange of high-level visits. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Qatar on 14-15 February 2024 and held discussions with Qatar’s Amir H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani”, the MEA said in an official release.
EAM’s visit will enable both sides to review various aspects of bilateral relations including political, trade, investment, energy, security, culture and people-to-people as well as the regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This visit aims to foster a stronger partnership between the two nations, addressing shared interests and challenges, and shaping a mutually beneficial and cooperative relationship.
