Nayagarh: A sub-inspector of the excise department landed in soup after allegedly attacking two journalists for reportedly clicking the photos of a raid.
The accused excise department sub-inspector has been identified as Dhananjay Patra.
As per available information, a raid was conducted by Cuttack excise department on illegal country liquor manufacturing units when journalists of various media organisations also reached for reporting incident,
However, Dhananjay allegedly charged at the journalists following which Nayagarh journalist organization demanded the arrest and suspension of sub-inspector.
Later, the organisation sat on a protest at Town police station premise and demanded action against the policeman.
