Malkangiri: The former Tehsildar of Kalimela was suspended on Thursday for his involvement in land scam in the district.
Alok Kumar Anugulia was suspended after Governor approved the recommendation of the district administration in this connection. Anugulia was transferred to Koraput as deputy collector.
Reports said he had provided land deeds to influential businessmen and officials in Kalimela tehsil at throwaway price. Social activists including Sarat Chandra Buruda have urged district administration to take action against the Tehsildar for the land scam.
Worthwhile to mention that a clerk and a Revenue Inspector were suspended and the data entry operator was transferred to Khairiput block in this connection.
