Enjoy Your Evening Tea With Crispy Fish Fingers

New Delhi: Fish Fingers recipe is a popular appetizer that has a crunchy texture and a soft inside and is best enjoyed with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup. Here’s how to make Fish Fingers at home.

  • 500 gm fish fillets
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • salt as required
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 2 tablespoons refined oil
  • 2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • tartare sauce as required
  • parsley as required

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Spread breadcrumbs on a baking tray with cooking oil spray on it. Roast them until golden for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Transfer these golden breadcrumbs into a bowl and add parmesan cheese, salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Mix well and keep aside.
  5. Increase the oven temperature to 220 degrees Celsius.
  6. Next, spray another baking tray with cooking oil.
  7. Then, take a bowl and mix egg, mayonnaise, all-purpose flour and, salt and pepper to prepare the batter.
  8. Cut the fish fillets into strips of 1.5 x 11 cm.
  9. Dip the fillets into the batter and pick it up with tongs and toss them in the breadcrumbs to coat them properly.
  10. Transfer to the greased baking tray and spray with a little refined oil.
  11. Place the tray in the preheated pan and bake for 12 minutes or until crispy on the outside.
  12. Serve the fish fingers with sauce and garnish with lemon wedges and chopped parsley.
