Kandhamal: An engineer was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the toilet of his house under Darngbadi police limits in Kandhamal district.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar Behera (30). He was from Dasapalla area in Nayagrah and was working as an engineer with a private firm in Kandhamal district.
According to reports, Rakesh had gone to his house a few days ago. After returning from home on Saturday, he was at home. The matter came to light after the house owner went to Rakesh’s room for some work. However, he did not open the door. Following this, the owner informed the police.
Later, police broke open the door in presence of additional Tahsildar Narendra Mallick, public health officer Dr. Jakesh Samantaray and IIC Koushik Majhi.
While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police have sent the body for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the incident is underway.
