Nilagiri: An elderly woman, who had gone to cast her vote at a polling station in the fourth phase of Odisha Panchayat polls in Berhampur Gram Panchayat under Nilgiri Block in Balasore district, suddenly collapsed and died.
The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Barik.
According to sources, the incident took place at booth No. 7 in Berhampur village under Nilgiri Block. Saraswati was waiting outside the polling station when she suddenly collapsed.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared her dead, said sources.
