Eggs to be reintroduced in MDM recipe in Bhubaneswar schools
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to reintroduce eggs in the mid-day meal recipe for schools in Bhubaneswar, informed Bhubaneswar block education officer (BEO) on Saturday.
As per the decision, the school children will be provided with eggs in their midday meal twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday, added the BEO.
Around 50,000 students of 267 schools in the city will be served with boiled eggs on the scheduled days, Malli said, adding that the eggs will be supplied from the BEO office at Rs 5 each.
It may be mentioned here that the state government had stopped the supply of eggs to all schools in Bhubaneswar in 2016.
