Educational institutions shutdown In J&K to ward off violence


Srinagar: The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have shutdown educational institutions in the valley in view of calls for hanging of rapists on Wednesday.

Educational institutions in Srinagar, Baramulla, Sopore, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kupwara and  Badgam  were closed to thwart violence.

According to reports, students continue to clash with the police on the issue. Authorities fear there might be a spurt in violence. Two rape incidents in Bandipora and Ganderbal districts have enraged people.

The students, demanding justice to the victims, have clashed with the security forces.
