S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister (EAM) on Sunday met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in Doha to discuss bilateral ties in various sectors and address significant regional challenges.
During the official visit, Jaishankar extended warm greetings and best wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to The Amir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Prime Minister Al Thani.
He highlighted the strong India-Qatar relationship, focusing on cooperation in areas such as politics, trade, investment, energy, technology, culture, and people-to-people connections.
The leaders also discussed regional and global issues of shared interest. Jaishankar appreciated Prime Minister Al Thani’s insights on the Gaza situation, indicating the depth of the two countries’ dialogue on important international issues.
Jaishankar expressed optimism for further enhancing India-Qatar relations and continuing a constructive dialogue on areas of mutual interest.
