Bhubaneswar: A cop has sustained grievous injuries in a road mishap at Vani Vihar in the state capital Bhubaneswar on Friday.
According to reports, the incident took place this afternoon when an SUV hit a policeman from behind and turned turtle, leaving him critically injured.
However, three of the accused fled the spot soon after the mishap while one of them was nabbed.
On getting the information, Sahid Nagar police arrived at the spot and rushed the policeman to the capital hospital.
As per the preliminary investigation, it is learned that all four occupants in the four-wheeler were reportedly in an inebriated state. Further investigation is underway, reports said.
