Dhenkanal: A woman in Chaulia village under Sadar police limits in Dhenkanal district was allegedly murdered by her husband after she objected to his liquor addiction.
The accused has been identified as Pradeep Pradhan who was an alcoholic man and used to fight with his wife on a daily basis.
Reportedly, the incident took place when his wife rebuked him for his drinking habit. Upset with the same, the accused allegedly picked up a stick and thrashed her to death.
On being informed, Sadar police reached the spot and launched a probe to nab the accused.
