Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi assumes charge as twin city police commissioner


Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi assumed the charge as the Commissioner of Police of the twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Wednesday.

The 1990-batch IPS officer, Sarangi, replaced Satyajit Mohanty who was posted as Additional DGP (Prisons) and Director Correctional Services (DCS), Bhubaneswar.

Earlier, Sarangi was posted as Director of State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB), Bhubaneswar.

On the occasion, Siba Prasad Biswal, Publisher, Pragativadi Publications Pvt Ltd, met the new Police Commissioner of Twin City and congratulated him for the new task.

In a major reshuffle, the state government on Monday appointed senior IPS officer Sudhanshu Sarangi as Commissioner of Police of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.

Moreover, 39 senior police officials including 13 Superintendents of Police, ADG-ranked Mahendra Pratap has been posted as Director, Printing Press and Stationery, Cuttack while Sanjeeb Panda has been transferred and posted Transport Commissioner.
