Malkangiri: One more death due to diarrhoea was reported in Malkangiri district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Subarna Nayak (34) of Luler village.
She was receiving treatment for diarrhoea at the Mathili Sub-Divisional Hospital and passed away this morning. Meanwhile, 20 other individuals from the Mathili Block area are undergoing treatment. In response, the health department is establishing camps across various villages to raise awareness and offer medical care. To date, diarrhoea has claimed six lives in Mathili.
Over the weekend, 12 individuals have passed away. In the block’s Kutunipali village, 2 people have died, 3 in Atalguda village, and 6 in Tulasi village.
