Dharmendra Pradhan tests COVID positive, Naveen wishes speedy recovery


Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and wished him speedy recovery. Pradhan has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.

Naveen tweeted: “Concerned to know about the hospitalisation of Hon’ble Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan after being tested positive for COVID-19. Spoke with him and wished for a quick recovery & good health”.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Tuesday that he had symptoms of coronavirus and has come positive after testing.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh BJP Chief Swatantra Dev Singh were tested positive for COVID-19. Pradhan said he has got himself admitted in a hospital and is fine.

Worthwhile to mention here that a couple of days ago Union Home Minister Amit Shah had tested positive. Shah is undergoing treatment at Medanta hospital in Gurugram. He was present in the last cabinet meeting, after which many of his cabinet colleagues like Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had to go into self-quarantine.

Cabinet colleagues like Smriti Irani and opposition leaders like Digvijaya Singh of Congress wished him a speedy recovery.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, BJP MLA from Agra, Yogendra Upadhyay, and MLC from Gorakhpur, Devendra Pratap Singh, had also tested positive for coronavirus.
