Deogarh: While the number of the COVID-19 positive cases continues to rise with every passing day, the Deogarh Police have tightened the COVID enforcement to keep the infection at bay.
A team led by SDPO Pratyush Kumar Mahanta along with SP Manjo Kumar Mahanta, deployed several platoons at various areas including Deogarh Municipality, Barkot, Riyamal, and areas under Kundeigola police limits were under strict surveillance, aiming to break the chain of infection.
Reportedly, the police have shut down all vegetable shops opened during the weekend shutdown and also collected fines from the violators.
Notably, the Odisha government had declared a 14-day lockdown and weekend shutdown across the state till May 19.
