New Delhi: Delhi woke up to a foggy day on Wednesday with the minimum temperature dropping to 7 Degrees Celsius, affecting flight and train operations.
At least 22 trains are running late by several hours due to dense fog enveloping different parts of northern India while flight operations at the New Delhi airport have also been affected with over 30 departures delayed as visibility has dropped below 150 metres.
According to reports, five flights have been diverted from Delhi Airport due to bad weather as pilots are not trained to land under CAT III (low visibility) conditions.
Multiple airlines, including Vistara and Indigo, have tweeted that operations will be affected due to dense fog in Delhi. An alert from Vistara airlines said arrivals and departures from Delhi are likely to get impacted on Wednesday due to dense fog. An alert from Indigo Airlines said, Due to low visibility in Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow and Patna, our operations are impacted.
