Delhi’s air pollution levels ‘satisfactory’, says SAFAR


New Delhi: System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) said the air pollution levels in the national capital remained in the ‘satisfactory’ category on Saturday.

The concentrations of major polluting particles such as PM10 and PM2.5 stood at 74 and 33 respectively.

The pollution monitoring system stated that a marginal deterioration in AQI is expected by Sunday (August 2) but within the ‘satisfactory’ category.

However, PM10 particles are expected to drop to 63 (‘satisfactory’ category) on while PM2.5 particles are expected to plunge to 28 (‘good’ category).

The adjoining Noida in Uttar Pradesh recorded air quality in the ‘moderate’ category with the concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 and Carbon monoxide (CO) standing at 84 (‘satisfactory’ category), 68 (‘satisfactory’ category) and 104 (‘moderate’ category) respectively.
