Delhi to establish 44 oxygen plants soon, 21 to be imported from France

New Delhi: The Delhi government will establish 44 oxygen plants in the national capital and 21 plants will be imported from France.

Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal said the decision has been taken as the corona situation in Delhi has become explosive and urgent measures has to be taken to set it right. Kejriwal said the plants will be set at different hospitals in Delhi. The Centre has also promised to provide five oxygen plants soon.

He said the Centre has been requested to bring oxygen from Thailand by Indian Air Force (IAF) and added that such a step will be helpful to meet the shortfall of oxygen in the national capital.
