New Delhi: The Delhi Police special cell on Thursday arrested three ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) suspects after a brief exchange of fire.
The three suspected were held from Wazirabad area in North-East Delhi. Police have also seized some suspicious objects from their possession.
They are being grilled by three teams of the special cell at the interrogation centre in the Lodhi Colony area, police sources said.
Reports suggest that the ISIS suspects are involved in the murder case of a Hindu leader in Tamil Nadu. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwaha confirmed the arrest of the three suspects.
Kushwaha said that six people, who were involved in the 2014 murder case of Hindu Munnani leader KPS Suresh Kumar, had gone absconding from Tamil Nadu. Out of the six, three – Khwaja Moinuddin, Abdul Nawaz and one more – have been arrested today.
