New Delhi: A Delhi gurudwara has provided food to an elderly couple infected with coronavirus. The couple could not cook due to the ailment.
The healthcare system is on the verge of collapse as the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc in the country. Many coronavirus affected patients are isolating themselves at home are struggling to cook food.
Heartening to note that some good samaritans have come forward to offer help to those in need. Twitter user Jaspreet Singh Sahni posted one such heartwarming story which has now gone viral. An elderly couple living on their own in Delhi’s Rohini had Covid symptoms. However, they failed to get the test done. When they struggled to cook food, Sahni called up a gurudwara to seek help.
The gurudwara committee members immediately supplied food and water to the elderly couple and ensured that they should not face any trouble for food in the days to come.
