Delhi Air Quality Remains In Poor Category; AQI Stands At 293

New Delhi: The air pollution in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in poor category with the AQI (Air Quality Index) standing at 293.

According to SAFAR-India, the AQI was 305 at Gurugram, 314 at Noida, 315 at Delhi University and 266 at IIT Delhi.

Air Quality Index is a tool for effective communication of air quality status to people in terms, which are easy to understand. It transforms complex air quality data of various pollutants into a single number (index value), nomenclature and colour.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
