New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday invoked special provisions and granted Emergency Financial Powers to the Armed Forces to fight coronavirus.
The powers will enable commanders to provide various services required to fight the ongoing pandemic. The Indian armed forces have been helping the government in the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
The Army Chief General MM Naravane briefed PM Narendra Modi that the Army is setting up temporary hospitals across various parts of the country.
In a bid to provide relief to COVID-19 patients, Cantonment General Hospitals of Kirkee, Deolali, Dehuroad, Jhansi and Ahmednagar have been designated as COVID care centres.
