Mumbai: Actor Deepika Padukone arrived at the Narcotics Control Bureau’s office in Mumbai for questioning in the Bollywood’s drugs case.
Deepika arrived at 9.45 am. The questioning is underway.
She, along with her manager Karishma Prakash, and actors Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will be questioned today.
Deepika Padukone arrived for questioning this morning at the Evelyn Guest House at Apollo Bunder in Colaba, Mumbai, where the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Special Investigation Team has set up a base.
Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor are expected to be questioned at the NCB office in Ballard Estate.
Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash, who was questioned on Friday, is likely to be called again today.
The investigation has already seen actress Rhea Chakraborty arrested for allegedly buying drugs for her former boyfriend Rajput, who was found dead in June in his Mumbai apartment – with police saying he took his own life.
India’s top anti-crime agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation, has been probing his death since last month. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was looking into his consumption of cannabis.
Earlier this week, reports of sections of a WhatsApp conversation about procuring hash, alleging that the two people chatting were Padukone and her manager surfaced.
