Bhubaneswar: The counting of votes for the Odisha Panchayat Polls 2022 Day 2 began at 8 AM today. While the counting for 315 Zilla Parishad zones was done yesterday, today the counting will be for 307 ZP zones. Similarly, counting of 229 Zilla Parishad zones will take place on February 28.
As per the State Election Commission, in case of discrepancies found between the ballot paper account prepared by the presiding officer and actual ballot papers in the ballot box(es), the actual ballot papers found in the ballot box(es) shall be taken into account and accordingly counting will be done and results announced.
Of the 315 ZP zones where counting was done in the first phase, results have been declared for 256 zones. – BJD has won 230 ZP zones, Congress 12, BJP 10, Others-04
