Daughters’ Day celebrated today

New Delhi: Daughters’ Day is a day that exclusively celebrates the daughters in the family and is observed on the fourth Sunday of the month of September, every year.

Although Daughter’s Day celebrations occur in most parts of the world however, the concept is not very prevalent in India.

The day defines the importance of a girl child in our lives. Therefore, especially on this occasion, shower your love and blessings on all the daughters around.

While there is no concrete story as to why we celebrate this day, the day is designated to remind the society that our daughters are our joy, and there should not be any patriarchal beliefs attached to their birth.
