Bhubaneswar: The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Bulbul’ over coastal West Bengal moved northeastwards with a speed of 11 kmph during the past 6 hours.
The cyclone laid centered at 2.30 am today over coastal West Bengal & adjoining Bangladesh near Lat. 21.8°N and Long. 89.0°E about 100 km northeast of Sagar Islands (West Bengal), 12 km southwest of Sunderban National Park, 105 km southeast of Kolkata and 125 km west-southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).
It is very likely to move east-northeastwards across Bangladesh. It is likely to weaken into a Cyclonic Storm over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining south & north 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal during next 03 hours and into a Deep Depression during the subsequent 06 hours.
The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Bulbul’ is being tracked by the Doppler Weather Radar at Kolkata in addition to other observing platforms.

Light to moderate rainfall at isolated places is likely to occur over coastal districts of Odisha during next 24 hours.
Sea condition is very high to very high over the northwest Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to improve and become very rough to High by today, the 10th November morning and improve gradually thereafter. Sea condition will be high to very rough over northeast Bay of tonight during the next 12 hours.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into Sea along & off north Odisha coast and Northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 12 hours.
