Cyclone Asani: Ganjam Administration Alerts People, Closes Beaches

Bhubaneswar: While Odisha is bracing for impending cyclone Asani, Ganjam Collector has asked people not to visit Gopalpur and other sea beaches in the district today and tomorrow.

Kulange said that the beaches in the district will be closed for two days as there are chances of heavy rainfall and squally winds. He asked all to stay indoors.

The Ganjam district administration on Friday cancelled the leave of its employees and asked them to remain present at their workplaces in view of the impending cyclone. “We are prepared to face any eventuality due to the cyclone,” said Ganjam collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
