Cuttack: Potholes on roads pose danger for city dwellers
Cuttack: Gaping potholes dotting the city roads following rains have posed serious risks for the residents. This continues to be a major concern for the city dwellers.
Besides, heavy rain this monsoon season has damaged more than 60 per cent of roads in the Millennium City. Though water has receded from the low-lying areas, heavy rain took its toll on the roads connecting the localities.
On the other hand, the road connecting Acharya Harihar Bidyapitha (Uttampur under Ward No 56 in CMC) has been dotted with potholes.
While a Brick kiln is located barely 100 metres away from the school, scores of tractors and heavy vehicles ply on the road on daily basis.
Potholes filled with water have become life-threatening as nobody knows what lies underwater, some city dwellers alleged.
The civic body has done precious little to mitigate miseries of people despite repeated imploring, city dwellers further alleged.
