Cuttack: The Odisha government on Tuesday announced to extend the duration of the historic Bali Yatra festival in Cuttack. Bali Yatra will now concluded on November 17 instead on November 16.
“Cuttack Mayor and CMC had moved Odisha government to extend the dates of Bali Yatra by two days. But after considering all aspects, the state government has extended the duration of the fair by one day,” said Cuttack Collector, Bhabani Shankar Chayani.
The proposal was passed so that it will be helpful for the traders and other women Self-Help Groups to do good business at the fair which was held after a gap of two years, informed Mayor Subhas Singh.
