Cuttack: As many as 12 inmates imprisoned at the Salepur Sub Jail in Cuttack have tested positive for novel coronavirus.
According to the sources, five inmates had tested positive on April 30. Following this, the jail authorities had conducted tests of the remaining inmates and seven more were found positive.
All the infectees have been reportedly kept in isolation cells at respective jails.
The jail authorities informed that the entire prison has been sanitized and a special team of doctors has been formed to conduct the health check-up of the inmates at regular intervals.
