CRFP Jawans Diffuse Tiffin Bomb Planted By Maoists In Kandhamal


Phulbani: A tiffin bomb planted by Maoists was recovered by the 127th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted in the Baliguda area of Kandhamal district.

An unidentified man was spotted moving with a suspicious bag near Gahali village in Lankagada gram panchayat within Belghar police station.

On the basis of a tip-off about the suspicious activity, the CRPF Commandant devised a strategy.

A special team of the CRPF 127th Battalion, led by Commandant Anand Jha and Assistant Commandant Kumar Raghvendra, started a search operation along with an expert team.

During the search, a tiffin bomb planted about 800 meters from Gahali village in Lankagada GP was found and diffused, informed Commandant Jha in a press release today.
