COVID-19: Odisha Reports 418 Fresh Cases, 5 Deaths In 24 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: The number of COVID-19 cases reported in Odisha in a span of 24 hours dropped below 500, taking the infection tally to 3,18,725, while the recoveries surged to 3,11,256, according to the I&PR’s data updated on Monday.

The total Coronavirus cases mounted to 3,18,725 with 418 new infections, while the death count climbed to 1739 after 5 more fatalities were reported, the data updated showed. Meanwhile, the active COVID-19 caseload reached 5677.

Of the fresh cases, 241 were reported from quarantine centres while 177 are local contacts.

On the other hand, fresh fatalities were reported from two districts- Khordha and Nuapada district. While 3 deaths came from Khordha district, Nuapada saw 2 deaths.

3.A 55-year-old male of Khordha district.
