COVID-19 lockdown: Seven detained for violating norms in Rayagada


Rayagada: Police on Monday detained seven persons including an ambulance driver for flouting the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown norms in the district.

According to sources, six passengers from Odogaon in Nayagarh district were en route to Damanjodi in Koraput district in a vehicle. Meanwhile, the vehicle stopped on the way due to some engine problem.

An ambulance which was passing by the same route picked them.

Later, the ambulance was intercepted by Rayagada police at a patrolling point. Police seized the ambulance and detained seven persons along the driver for violating the lockdown rule in the state.
