COVID-19 cases in India rise to 4.25 lakh, death toll at 13,699


New Delhi: Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 4,25,282, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.

The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 13,699.

The reported active COVID-19 cases in India now stand at 1,74,387, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 2,37,195 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

With 1,32,075 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far, Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state in the country, followed by Delhi (59,746) and Tamil Nadu (59,377).

The World Health Organization reported the largest increase in global coronavirus cases on Sunday, with the total rising by 183,020 in a 24-hour period. The biggest increase was from North and Brazil in South America with over 116,000 new cases, according to its daily report.
