COVID-19 cases in India cross 2.56 lakh-mark, death toll at 7135


New Delhi: India’s coronavirus count crossed 2.5 lakh cases mark on Monday. Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 2,56,611, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.

The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 7,135.

The reported active COVID-19 cases in India now stand at 1,25,381, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 1,24,095 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

With 85,975 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far, Maharashtra remains worst-affected state in the country, followed by Tamil Nadu (31,667) and Delhi (27,654).

Maharashtra continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus spread where the number of cases has witnessed an even large spike recently.
