Bhubaneswar: As many as 335 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of positive cases to 323364.
While 193 fresh cases are from quarantine, the rest 142 are local transmission cases, according to Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department.
Moreover, four patients succumbed to the disease during the period, pushing the total number of deaths in Odisha to 1798.
As per the Health Department data, Sundargarh district topped the daily positive tally in the state with 52 new cases, followed by Khurda with 31 positives, Mayurbhanj reported 29 cases in last 24 hours.
According to the data, fresh fatalities were reported from Balasore, MalaKangiri, Sundargarh.
The ministry also released the details of the deceased:
1.A 70-year-old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease & Hypertension.
2.A 70-year-old male of MalaKangiri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Melitus, Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Airway Disease & Coronary Artery Disease.
3.A 65-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Hypertension.
4.A 55-year-old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
Of the total cases detected so far in the State, 318278 people have recovered while the active case count stands at 3231.
