Coronavirus positivity rate in Delhi plummets to 0.19 per cent
New Delhi: The coronavirus positivity rate has slumped to 0.19 per cent in the national capital, according to authorities.
The Delhi health department said in a bulletin that the total number of infected patients in Delhi has surged to 6,35,916, while the death toll has mounted to 10,877. The active cases tally has dropped to 1,174 from 1,206 the previous day, the bulletin added.
The bulletin said as many as 63,322 tests including 39,543 RT-PCR tests and 23,779 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. More than 1 lakh have been vaccinated in Delhi so far.
The Delhi government announced that the frontline workers who have registered for the Covid-19 vaccination can now visit any of the 184 vaccination centres in the national capital to get the coronavirus vaccination shot.
Officials said District Magistrates of several districts like South West, North, North West, East and West have come forward to get themselves vaccinated and set an example to inspire people.
