Coronavirus Pandemic: NCC Starts Helplines For Urgent Services

Cuttack: In order to fight the growing number of positives and handle queries relating to Covid, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) issued two Covid-19 helplines for urgent services during the pandemic.

Reportedly, the cadets have been working to boost relief efforts and functioning of various agencies involved in battling the pandemic. They are managing various tasks such as manning of helpline/call centres, distribution of relief materials/medicines/food/essential commodities, community assistance, data management, and queue & traffic management. To amplify the State’s efforts to curb the spread of pandemic, the cadets are also actively sensitizing the public with necessary and appropriate information through messages on social media platforms and active fieldwork.

Notably, Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, CTC NCC, Cuttack Command officer and Lieutenant Rudra Prashad Nanda were present during the decision-making time.
