Coronavirus issue: PM to discuss with political parties on April 8


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with floor leaders of various political parties on April 8 through video conferencing.

He has already interacted with CMs and sportspersons on coronavirus. The Prime Minister is likely to discuss ways to strengthen the fight against coronavirus.

The issue of  lockdown will also be discussed during the meeting, reports said. This will be the Prime Minister’s first interaction with opposition leaders after the lockdown.

The 21-day nationwide lockdown is set to end on April 14. Earlier today, PM Modi chaired a joint meeting of empowered groups formed for planning and ensuring the implementation of nationwide COVID-19 response.

He reviewed countrywide preparedness regarding the availability of hospitals, proper isolation and quarantine facilities.
