Cops nab ISJK commander in Jammu: IGP
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir police have averted a terror strike by arresting a dreaded Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) terrorist.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh said the arrested terrorist was the self-styled commander of the outfit. The Special Operations Group of the Jammu police arrested the terrorist from Jhajjar Kotli on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway, Singh said. The accused has been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Police said the terrorist was arrested on a specific information around 7 pm and a pistol, eight rounds and Rs 1.13 lakh were seized from his possession.
The terrorist, during inquiry, revealed that he had received weapons and cash to carry out a terror strike in the Union Territory.
