Cuttack: Khanduali village under Athagarh block came under containment zone after detection of as many as 16 Covid-19 positives here.
As per an official order, the containment order will come into effect from tomorrow (Saturday) and the restrictions will remain in force for the next seven days.
Following detection of fresh cases, the district administration decided to put the village under containment zone. The new infectees have been kept in home isolation for treatment.
Health camps will be set up in the village and contact tracing will also be intensified.
Shops and commercial establishments have also been asked to shut. The district administration has stated that it will make necessary arrangements for the supply of medicines and other essential items to the locals inside the containment zone.
