New Delhi: The highest decision-making body of Congress party has given a go-ahead for an alliance with the Shiv Sena on Thursday, sources said.
Congress party sources said the CWC that met here this morning has approved an alliance with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra to form the government. The Congress party’s Maharashtra in-charge Mallikarjun Kharge said: “We have informed the CWC about our parleys with NCP.”
Congress sources said a meeting will be held between leaders of the Congress and the NCP again tonight on the issue. The final meeting with the Shiv Sena is scheduled for tomorrow in Mumbai, the sources added.
