Bhubaneswar: With the release of Congress’s second list of candidates for the ensuing polls, the party has named Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda’s wife Subhashree Panda aka Mili to contest from Ranpur assembly seat.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Saturday released its second list of candidates for two Lok Sabha and 54 Assembly constituencies for forthcoming polls in Odisha.
Mili, who had joined the Congress party on August 20 last year, made her political debut in 2014 and had unsuccessfully contested from Ranpur Assembly seat during the last election on Aam Odisha Party (AOP) ticket.
However, she was defeated by Biju Janata Dal’s Rabinarayan Mohapatra.
