Bhubaneswar: In a bid to aware the people in the twin cities, the Commissionerate Police today warned against falling prey to trending FB posts claiming to help women in distress.
According to reports, there are many cases where youths are seeing pledging support to women in distress. Some people had been posting phone numbers on social networking sites and asking women to contact them when in trouble.

When asked, Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahoo said, “This is supposedly mischief. I urge people not to believe in such messages trending on social media. We have also warned the social media users not to rely on these numbers and instead dial 100.”
