Commissionerate Police Issues Advisory For Movement Of Private Firm Staff During Lockdown, Shutdown


Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police on Saturday issued an advisory for movement of employees of private industries, organizations, financial establishments, IT & IT-enabled services during Lockdown and Shutdown Period in Odisha till 5:00 AM of May 19, 2021.

The Commissionerate Police stated that the Government has allowed IT and IT-enabled service with a maximum 50% staff, operation of plants at a maximum of 50% workers, Industries and industrial establishments, its corporate offices up to 30% of staff strength, offices of private/civil society sector officers at maximum 33% staff strength. The Government has also directed the heads of industrial units/corporate offices to convey to the Municipal Commissioner and concerned DCsP the numbers of personnel allowed to operate.

In the field, it has been observed that the members of these organizations are moving showing their identity proof without any supporting document that they have been allowed to work, whereas as per guidelines only a certain percentage of employees are to be allowed to move to their respective offices.

The Commissionerate Police witnessed that a large number of movements are taking place in violation of Covid Protocol and has requested that the heads of private Industries/organization/financial establishments who have been permitted to function with restrictions to issue an authorization to their employees to move from their places of residence/stay to their offices which they need to produce at the time of checking.

They are also requested to furnish the detailed list of employees permitted to concerned DCP offices for reference. This will help police in enforcing Lockdown restrictions imposed by Govt, the  Commissionerate Police said.
