Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri police on Saturday arrested a youth for theft of a licensed pistol. The accused has been identified as Rahul Jena (20).
According to the police, the pistol belongs to one Sambit Padhi (38) of BJB Nagar.
Padhi has registered a complaint of theft of his licensed pistol on Friday and acting on the plaint, police registered a case and nabbed the accused today.
The victim alleged that he had kept the pistol in his car in the Jagamara area and later went for some work. But he did not find the pistol in his car which was parked near Jagamara, police said.
Police said that the accused will be forwarded to the court today.
